Canadian Mental Health Association – Simcoe County
The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) provides “integrated mental health and addiction services”. CMHA’s Simcoe County branch serves persons living the City of Barrie and throughout South Simcoe.
All too often, accident victims are struck with debilitating psychological conditions, such as depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. CMHA offers a number of programs to assist such individuals. CMHA does not offer mental health counselling services. Instead, CHMA provides initial assessments and makes referrals to relevant medical professionals.
While CMHA does not offer counselling for mental health, it does provide addiction counselling. Frequently, accident victims become addicted to pain killers. CMHA can assist these individuals. CMHA provides both an Opioid Treatment Program and Community Withdrawal Management Program.
CMHA’s Simcoe County Branch is located at 128 Anne Street South, in the City of Barrie.
It is open from 9 am – 4 pm on a walk-in basis.
