Checking In with Harrison Cooper
As Ontarians navigate the effects of COVID-19, it’s important for everyone to make an effort to keep in touch with friends and loved ones as best that they can. During the next few months, we’ll be reaching out to Oatley Vigmond’s lawyers, accident benefits specialists, and hard-working staff through a recurring “Checking In With _________” Q&A segment hosted on the firm’s website.
Today’s check-in is with Oatley Vigmond Associate Lawyer Harrison Cooper.
What he’s been up to:
Writing Easter-themed parody songs about the Netflix documentary ‘Tiger King’ and training his at-home assistant, Otis the wonder-dog.
Something he’s been thinking about a lot:
What a difference a year makes. This time last year, Harrison and his wife Lija were planning their wedding and enjoying the Toronto Raptors historic run to capture the NBA championship.
An unexpected silver-lining of Ontario’s quarantine:
The rapid modernization of our Court system and civil litigation generally.
“The seamless transition to video-conferencing for client meetings, examinations for discovery and mediations has been excellent. The mandate for our Court system to modernize should continue once the pandemic is over.”
The first place he will go when quarantine restrictions are lifted:
To any restaurant with family or friends – whoever is available!
One way his life has changed due to COVID:
Embracing Zoom and Facetime as a way to stay connected with family and friends.
