About Josie Skelly
Josie has been working in the legal industry since 1987. She joined Oatley Vigmond in 1995 as a Senior Law Clerk, having developed expertise in demonstrative evidence applications, particularly in the areas of mediation and trial preparation. She was drawn to accident benefits as she longed to provide hands on support to clients and their families.
As an Accident Benefits Specialist, Josie provides prompt and effective assistance with accessing insurance benefits to which clients are entitled following auto collisions. She helps assemble a reliable community rehabilitation and long term care team for our clients.
Josie enjoys outdoor sports of all kinds and is a certified yoga instructor.
Accomplishments
Josie is a Licensed Paralegal with the Law Society of Upper Canada and earned her certificate in Rehabilitation Management through Seneca College.
Over the years, in addition to her studies at Seneca, Josie has enhanced her skills by pursuing studies including legal research and law, litigation, trial preparation, anatomy & physiology, accident investigation, accident benefits, negotiation, and various other courses and programs including computer software related courses. She has attended many continuing education conferences focusing on supporting clients who suffer brain Injuries and spinal cord injuries.

Professional Involvement
Josie has presented to lawyers and law clerks at OTLA, LSUC and Advocates’ Society programs in the past and has been invited as a guest lecturer at Georgian College. She has written an article for The Litigator on Internet Searches, and is also a member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association – Law Clerks Division.
Josie regularly participates in many charitable events. Notably Josie will be participating in Ride for Cancer which is a 200km bike ride with all proceeds going to Princess Margaret Hospital.
