Linda had built a successful career as a high school science teacher and was preparing to become her school’s science department head when another driver made an unsafe U-turn directly in front of her vehicle.
Although she sustained what was medically classified as a mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI), the effects were anything but mild. Persistent symptoms made it difficult for Linda to continue working full-time, forcing her to reduce her hours and affecting both her income and career progression.
Oatley Vigmond successfully demonstrated the lasting impact the injury would have on Linda’s earning capacity and secured a settlement that compensated her for the difference between full-time and part-time employment.
Reflecting on her experience, Linda said:
