Our client was rear-ended while exiting an off ramp on the 400 highway. He suffered soft tissue injuries and a mild traumatic brain injury (concussion).
The experts disagreed on whether our client had in fact sustained a brain injury. Our client went on to develop severe physical and cognitive impairments and he was unable to return to work. Our expert ultimately diagnosed him with Conversion Disorder, which is a serious psychiatric condition.
We were able to prove, with expert evidence, that the car crash caused the Conversion Disorder in our client. After a mediation and prior to trial, we successfully settled his tort case and his accident benefits file for $2,118,000.
