Motorcycle Crash Ruins Young Mother’s Life

A young single mother was a passenger on a motorcycle when a van and camper trailer pulled out in front of the bike to make a left turn, causing a horrific crash.  The young woman fractured her spine, suffered numerous injuries to her internal organs, and was left with a severe brain injury.  Although she mostly recovered from her cognitive problems, the young woman’s behavior became bizarre and unpredictable after the crash.  She developed an addiction to alcohol and street drugs and had repeated run-ins with the law.  At a pre-trial mediation, the case was settled for more than $950,000.
