Catherine Shervington
ACCIDENT BENEFITS SPECIALIST
Catherine joined OV in January 2025. She previously worked in the insurance industry for 21 years, specializing in accident benefits claims for 15 of those years. She has experience adjusting claims at all levels, including minor injury, complex, and catastrophic cases. Before entering the insurance field, Catherine was a Registered Massage Therapist for more than 10 years, treating individuals involved in car accidents who suffered soft tissue and orthopaedic injuries.
Her combined experience in claims adjusting and paramedical healthcare provides her with unique insight, enabling her to effectively advocate for clients in obtaining the statutory accident benefits they are entitled to. Catherine is also involved in hospital discharge planning and in assembling reliable community therapy teams.
Catherine obtained her FCIP in 2018 from the Insurance Institute of Canada, and her CRM designation from RIMS. In her spare time, she enjoys camping with her extended family, painting, photography and cycling.
