$5.4 Million Settlement
Our client was a happy and healthy four year old boy when he tripped and fell into a display at a dollar store. The store was using an improperly designed spike to hang its products. They also hung the spike at eye level for a child. The spike penetrated the client’s skull. The injury forced doctors to remove a portion of his brain.
The client was left with permanent impairments in his behaviour, memory, mood and ability to reason. He requires a lifetime of supervision to protect himself and people around him. The case settled shortly before trial for more than $5,400,000. This money will allow the boy’s family to replace the income that he would have earned if healthy and pay for the treatment providers and caregivers he requires over the rest of his life.
