Oatley Vigmond Curling Challenge 2019 Recap & Photos
Oatley Vigmond proudly hosted a full-day ‘Curling Challenge’ on Saturday, February 2nd, 2019 at the Barrie Curling Club. The ‘bonspiel’ featured 18 unique teams – including OV lawyers, staff, family, friends, and industry colleagues. Thank you to everyone who participated for your creativity and enthusiasm in contributing to make the tournament such a great experience for all!
Oatley Vigmond Partners Robert Durante, Adam Little, and Troy Lehman, along with Accident Benefits Specialist Sean Power (the firm’s resident curling expert who helped plan the event), presented Barrie Curling Club manager Melanie Hughes with a donation of $1,000 toward its ongoing emergency ice pad/ice plant repair fundraising. The club is currently seeking additional community support and those interested in helping out can learn more by clicking here.
Amidst all of the terrific food, prizes and socializing, a highly entertaining competition broke out between those in the medal round. Ultimately, the finale saw the team from 30 Forensics narrowly edge out Oatley Vigmond undertaking clerk Jill Faust’s family, Team Faust, in a single rock toss closest-to-the-button tiebreaker to capture the Gold. Congrats to the champions!
