Empowering Women: Self Defence – Supporting Women of Domestic Violence

Please join Oatley Vigmond for an evening of empowerment, networking and laughs with fellow ladies in the ABI community. George Hutchings, Martial Arts Specialist will teach us techniques in self defence, conflict resolution, and the difference of being assertive and aggressive.

The session will run 90 minutes followed by networking, cocktails & appetizers.

Why Get Involved?
Huronia Transition Homes/Athena’s Sexual Assault Counselling & Advocacy Centre is a non-profit organization that is set up to help local women who have been abused by domestic violence. Their reach includes support groups, individual counselling and a crisis line. Huronia/Athena’s works in conjunction with “Dress for Success” who helps to prepare women for court. We are looking for monetary donations to help fund a self-defence course for the women in their program.
