Pierrette sustained very serious injuries in a winter car crash. She suffered a below the knee amputation and serious injuries to her other foot. At issue were the extent of her damages, and in particular whether she was catastrophically impaired under current insurance legislation. An animation was developed to demonstrate the extent of her impairments.
Despite opinions to the contrary, her case was settled on the basis of her being catastrophically impaired.
