On November 5, 2017, the Defendant was driving impaired. Edward was travelling in a car with his wife, Jennifer, and their two children. The Defendant crossed the centreline and struck Ed and his family head-on. The entire family was injured in this accident but Ed succumbed to his injuries after one month of being in hospital. The family was left grieving the loss of their husband and father.
