Lauren was a student at York University at the time of the crash. Like her mother, she dreamed of being a teacher. On January 28, 2005 Lauren was driving her vehicle on an evening out with her boyfriend. The defendant had stopped his tractor trailer in front of his driveway. The trailer was completely blocking the road. Lauren had no time to react. She crashed into the side of the trailer at 70 kilometres per hour. Lauren suffered an incomplete spinal cord injury affecting her left arm. Thankfully, after a long period of rehabilitation, Lauren ultimately returned to school and was able to fulfill her dream of becoming a teacher.
“The legal services provided to me by Jim Vigmond and Brian Cameron of Oatley Vigmond, were second to none. Their experience and expertise was evident as they were thorough, in-depth and left no stone unturned. They were always helpful, kept me well-informed and fought for me every step of the way. From the day Jim and Brian came to visit me in the hospital to the day my case settled, they were committed both to my case and to my well-being. They were caring, supportive and put my rehabilitation and recovery first and foremost. They always had my best interests at heart, and protecting/providing for my future was their main priority.
Jim and Brian went above and beyond my expectations! I couldn’t have been more delighted and satisfied with the result.
I would definitely recommend Oatley Vigmond to any accident survivor. They are a law firm that truly cares for the well-being of their clients. They provide hope during the tumultuous time following the accident, and help make the unbearable situation bearable.
I had unwavering faith and confidence in this law team from day one, and they didn’t let me down.”
