“It’s just awful that anyone has to be in a situation where they need to seek a lawyer under this circumstance. The process is not fun and is very trying. My sympathy goes to anyone in this situation. If you’re in a position where you need to find a good lawyer, I cannot say enough wonderful things about Robert Durante. You would be very fortunate to have Robert take your case.
I always felt as if I was his only client, even though I knew that he was a busy man and that he had other important clients. He was always available and returned all of my calls promptly. He listened to my concerns and was patient with me. He explained everything in great detail, and never rushed a meeting or telephone call. He understood me, and our goals. Robert kept me well informed. There was never a period of time where he wasn’t in contact with me; he didn’t leave me hanging for months.
My husband was killed in a head-on collision coming home from work. Robert made a case against 4 insurance companies. He was very well prepared, and thus, prepared me and my children for all meetings. I remember being in a room and counting 13 other lawyers against us; intimidating to say the least. My 2 daughters and I, however, felt very confidant and at ease sitting next to Robert. During negotiations, he took a stand. He neither backed down, nor took the easy way out, nor suggested that I settle for less than we felt the claim was worth.
I’ve compared notes with others in the same situation as me, who sought out “the best lawyers in Ontario”. I still received a larger settlement than all of them. After they found out, they wanted to know who my lawyer was. He is truly compassionate, kind and caring. You would be privileged to have Robert working on your side.” – Mariska Jordan
