Valentino suffered serious orthopaedic injuries when he was struck by a motorist as he was helping another motorist who was trapped in her vehicle. The driver he was trying to help had flipped her vehicle on its side when she lost control on the 401 HW onramp. Valentino was the Good Samaritan who came to her aid. Due to his permanent chronic pain and physical restrictions, Valentino could no longer work full time as a foreman for a road construction company after the accident.
