$400,000 Settlement
A man in his 60s was driving through an intersection when a fully loaded transport truck weighing 80 tons crashed into him. The man’s vehicle was thrown into a telephone pole and the man was crushed inside. He suffered multiple fractures to his right side in his shoulder, neck, leg and ankle. He required months of rehabilitation. He was left with significant mobility issues and chronic pain.
He had owned and trained horses at a racetrack for over 50 years. After the crash he could not return to training horses. We recovered $400,000 from the at-fault driver and owner of the transport truck and the accident benefits insurer.
