$1 Million Settlement
Our client suffered a severe brain injury and serious orthopaedic injuries when he was struck by his friend who was riding a snowmobile. A group of friends had gone out for a snowmobile ride when one of the friends lost control and struck our client with the snowmobile.
The collision occurred on private property and none of the friends admitted to striking our client. In fact, they all denied striking him and they took the position that he was driving the snowmobile and he crashed it himself.
We conducted an investigation into the crash and determined that our client was struck by another snowmobile that one of his friends was operating. We sued both men for damages including lost wages since our client would likely never work again. The insurer for the defendants ultimately settled the case before trial for a little more than $1 million.
