$3.25 Million Settlement
Our client was a passenger in a vehicle when another driver lost control of their vehicle in snowy, icy conditions and crashed into her vehicle head-on. Our client suffered a fractured clavicle and tibia, as well as soft tissue injuries to her neck and back. She also suffered psychological trauma including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. She was running her own successful small business at the time. She was unable to return to work.
After starting a lawsuit against the other driver for negligence and against the municipality for failure to maintain the roadway in a non-hazardous condition, we successfully settled our client’s tort case for $2,100,000. Subsequently, we settled her accident benefits file for an additional $1,150,000.
