Checking In with Troy Lehman

As Ontarians navigate the effects of COVID-19, it’s important for everyone to make an effort to keep in touch with friends and loved ones as best that they can. During the next few months, we’ll be reaching out to Oatley Vigmond’s lawyers, accident benefits specialists, and hard-working staff through a recurring “Checking In with _________” Q&A segment hosted here on the firm’s website.

Today’s check-in is with Oatley Vigmond Partner Troy Lehman. Troy and his wife Lisa are the proud parents of three busy teenage boys.

What he’s been up to:

Troy has been missing getting together with clients and colleagues.  He has been adjusting to working more from home with his furry associates Duke and Cookie (pictured above).

What he misses the most in life:

Putting on robes and going to Court and putting on a baseball uniform to coach his kids (even though he knows it looks ridiculous on a middle aged man).

The first place he will go when quarantine restrictions are lifted:

A hockey rink, a baseball diamond, or a football field.

Something he’s been thinking about a lot:

“Civil justice is central to our society and we have to get the systemic delays out of the system.”

The best television show he’s been watching recently:

Game of Thrones (he admits they are late to the party on this one).

About the Authors

TROY square box final

Troy Lehman joined Oatley Vigmond in 2006 and became a partner in 2010. As a personal injury lawyer, his greatest satisfaction comes from helping people through to the other side of a difficult time in their lives. “We’re here to help and relieve stress,” Troy says. “When I walk into a first meeting with a client, people are often scared and anxious. And for me, the best thing that can happen at the end of the meeting is that they say, ‘I feel so much better.’
