$575,000 Settlement
A young wife and mother became totally disabled from her career as a financial advisor when she was diagnosed with Lupus. She suffered from daily fatigue, headaches, memory loss, anxiety, and concentration problems. She also suffered from depilating arthritis.
Despite overwhelming medical evidence of her ongoing disability, her long-term disability insurer continued to deny paying a monthly disability benefit. We sued the long-term disability insurer for payment of the monthly disability benefit and also sued for its bad faith handling of our client’s claim. The claim settled prior to trial, for a total of $575,000.
