$2.5 Million Settlement
A young husband, father and senior corporate vice-president was involved in a devastating crash while riding his motorcycle, when an oncoming vehicle made a left turn in front of him.
As a result of poor design, one of the motorcycle protection gloves became caught on the clutch lever and was removed from our client’s hand on impact. Without protection, his hand and wrist were shattered and despite several surgeries, rendered virtually useless. In addition to the hand injuries, our client badly broke his leg, and suffered a head injury.
We sued the glove manufacturer and retailer for negligent design of the glove, the other driver for making an improper left turn, as well as our client’s accident benefits insurer for failing to pay appropriate benefits. The cases settled prior to trial, for a total of more than $2,500,000.
